Tara Roberts Spivey is a certified physician’s assistant (PA-C), and patient advocate with 20 years of experience. She has spent her career providing the people of Douglas, GA with exceptional patient care and educational resources. She uses her role as a healthcare practitioner to empower the community with the knowledge and the compassionate treatment they need to successfully manage a variety of medical concerns.
Mrs. Roberts Spivey graduated magna cum laude from the Medical College of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies. She received her master’s degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She also possesses a Surgical Certification from the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Mrs. Roberts Spivey offers a wealth of in-depth clinical knowledge to the Regency Walk-In Urgent Care patient population.
As a PA, Mrs. Roberts Spivey is among the first faces patients see when they enter the medical facility. As both a medical professional and healthcare ambassador, she recognizes the unique opportunity to provide patients with the kind of understanding support that encourages their active participation in their treatment protocols. By combining a welcoming and caring attitude with her skill and expertise, she endeavors to make patients comfortable in a medical setting and more likely to return for important health checks.
Additionally, Mrs. Roberts Spivey uses her background in community health to promote a community-focused and needs-based approach to healthcare access. By building trust within Douglas and the surrounding South Georgia communities, she hopes to foster a productive partnership between patients and healthcare providers to deliver the type and quality of care most needed throughout the rural settings of South Georgia. In her role as a Patient Safety Representative, she provides continual support and life-saving technologies to patients at risk for serious cardiac events and their caregivers. Her services and dedication to her patients have helped improve access to critical medical resources for patients in remote regions in rural Georgia.
